What proof is Stagg Batch 24B?
Batch 24B is bottled at 127.8 proof — that's 63.9% ABV — and it is unfiltered, exactly as the 24B label shows. "Barrel proof" means the bourbon goes into the bottle at the strength it came out of the barrel, with nothing added to hit a round number, which is why each batch reads differently. The Fall 2024 24B comes in just below the winter 24C, which is 128.9 proof.
When was Stagg Batch 24B released?
Batch 24B is the Fall 2024 release — the second of Stagg's 2024 batches, following the Summer 24A bottling and ahead of the Winter 24C. Stagg comes out in lettered batches rather than on a fixed annual schedule, and each is a separate barrel-proof run identified by the code on the label. Buffalo Trace does not attach an age statement or publish the mash-bill percentages for these releases.
