GlenDronach was founded in 1826 at Forgue in Aberdeenshire and is among the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland; its reputation rests on sherry-cask maturation rather than sherry finishing, meaning spirit goes into Spanish oak from the start and stays there. The Parliament is matured for a minimum of twenty-one years in a combination of Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks sourced from Spain, the two styles the house is built on, and is bottled at 48% — above the strength at which most malt of this age is sold. It was introduced in 2011 as the oldest expression in the core range and takes its name from the colony of rooks, collectively a parliament, that has nested in the trees overlooking the distillery for close to two hundred years. GlenDronach matures in sherry wood rather than finishing in it, so the character builds across the whole maturation. The distillery's Aged 30 uses those same two styles and adds Amontillado — a first for the house — so the two expressions are not the same recipe at different lengths.

Is GlenDronach Parliament 21 non chill filtered?

It has long been published as non chill filtered and natural in colour, and most descriptions still say so.
